& management
The Scotch Porter Manual is a monthly publication that discusses everyday issues from fashion advice to parenting. Our objective was twofold, to work with Scotch Porter to establish a unique editorial voice that reaches men with universal content to make their lives better and to design content that supports and elevates the written content.
THE PROCESS
STRATEGY.
We collaborate with the Scotch Porter team to create a publication that sends a message encouraging consumers to liver their best life. Together we identified the best way to do this through a publication was to create content that was authentic, masculine and appealing.
CONTENT PLANNING.
On a monthly basis we coordinate with Scotch Porter to identify brand objectives and conversation. From there The Artoholiks manages the process through delivery of the publication to digital deployment via the Journal (Scotch Porter’s blog), social media, and email. During the monthly curation process The Artoholiks works with two to five writers to develop written content. The Artoholiks oversees the copy editing process and dictates design creation.
CREATION.
With each monthly issue, The Artoholiks design team creates fresh assets, photography and design, to accompany the written content. The team treats this as a creative exercise by taking on vote on who will get what story. This makes the design of each story even more authentic.
FROM PRINT.
From creation The Artoholiks packages and moves onto the printing phase, managing the fulfillment and delivery of the Manual.
TO JOURNAL.
To maximize the content created for the publication, selected articles are shared on Scotch Porter’s blog, The Journal.
TO EMAIL & SOCIAL.
In addition to sharing selected articles and assets are deployed on Scotch Porter’s social media platforms and in weekly email campaigns, directing consumers to The Journal and Manual for additional content.
